Registration for MERIT 2017, the annual construction business game run with the support of the ICE, CIOB and ICE for the 27th time will open in October. A large and international participation is in prospect. The prize fund donated by sponsors stands at £5000
In its 27th Competition MERIT is well established in developing skills and knowledge in company and financial management together with teamwork, leadership and disciplined decision making preparing participants for future senior roles.
Teams can leave an expression of interest on www.MERITgame.com and can register for MERIT 2017 from October. Teams who do not have the full details to register such as a full list of team members or a Purchase Order can use the pre-registration facility on the web-site and complete the rest of their details when available.
The winners in 2016 were a team from Atkins India.
3) CIOB’s Global Student Challenge 2017
The CIOB’s Global Student Challenge is played annually attracting a global entry from Universities. Registration for the GSC 2017 will begin in October 2017 with the online phase being played over March and April 2017 with the top six teams together with their tutor being invited to attend the Final in Hong Kong in July 2017. The winners will receive the Crane award and mentoring to aid their career planning and to assist in developing tomorrow’s leaders.
The winners in 2016 were Cali Construction a team from Glasgow Caledonian University.
